10:30 pm	Oz Magi 2009 Assignments! Wish assignments have been sent! If you receive a Wish assignment for a Wish you did not make for some odd reason, please let me know! If you haven't received your Wish assignment, first, check your spam folder just in case the email got filtered, and if you still don't have it, let me know that too! REMINDER: You only fulfill ONE of the two requests that came with your Wish. The idea is to give you some choice. Pick whichever one you like. Fiction requests are fulfilled by a story of at least 500 words. Art requests are fulfilled by a minimum of 3 icons, or 1 banner or wallpaper (or other graphic equivalent.) Completed Wishes are due 9PM Eastern Standard Time (US) on Monday, December 21, 2009. If you know that you will not be able to fulfill your Wish, please let me know ASAP so a pinch-hitter may be arranged for your recipient. 8:45 pm	One more Wish! Hey everyone -- Due to an unfortunate mix-up, one of our Wishes went missing, and I've just now added it to the Wish Tree as Wish #34. Please feel free to review your Wish Claims and edit your offers if you'd like to include it. I'm going to extend the deadline for making/changing Wish Claims by 12 hours to give people a better chance to review and Claim. 12:59 pm	Reminder, and a request! 1. Reminder! Please get your Wish claims in by midnight NY time on Monday November 9th to get your claim in for the initial batch (see when that is for you here.) Assignment notifications will be sent out on Tuesday, November 10th. 2. Request! As seems to happen every year, a few Wishes have proved to be very popular and this can make matching a little difficult. If you requested Wish #12, #13, #17, or #20 -- would you please consider either changing to another Wish, or adding a 4th Wish you'd be willing to write? 10:24 am	Claim Your Wishes for Oz Magi 2009! Claims are now open for the 2009 Oz Magi holiday gift exchange! A big welcome to all the new faces we've got participating this year -- it's always nice to see a little new blood around these parts. :-) Also, I'm very glad I polled about the inclusion of art, and that you all decided to keep art as part of Oz Magi, because art requests are way up this year over last. Please remember that you do not need to have submitted a Wish in order to claim one! Some people just like the writing/creating part of this fest. That's cool by us! If you're just stumbling across this community for the first time today and see a Wish you'd like to fulfill? Thought you wouldn't have time to participate, but now realize you feel inspired? 6:10 pm	Oz Magi 2009 is Open! Request your Wishes now! WISH REQUESTS ARE NOW CLOSED! THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE A WISH! Start sharpening those shanks, baby! Response to the previous post shows more than enough interest to roll this sucker one more year. Great thanks to all our new participants as well as the repeat offenders for taking part in the poll! :-) (But you do not have to have responded to the poll to take part in oz_magi, no worries if you missed it!) Public sentiment went for keeping art as part of oz_magi and also to raising the word count minimum for fiction to 500 words. The rules described below reflect these group decisions. For those new to the fandom, oz_magi (aka Operation Put a Shank in Everyone's Stocking) is a holiday season gift exchange of fanfiction and fan art, and for the last few years it has been an important part of keeping this small fandom alive and kicking.
